Paul and Charity Ackerman Scholarship

The Paul and Charity Ackerman Scholarship was established in 2026 to celebrate their long term commitment to the pharmacy profession. Paul and Charity are alumni of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and Paul is a Past President of the Florida Pharmacy Association. The scholarship recognizes a student pharmacist that has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, actively involved in professional and student pharmacy organizations and is enthusiastically engaged in service to their community. The scholarship award is $1500.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school or college of pharmacy in Florida.

  • Must be a current Student Pharmacist Member of the FPA (Florida Pharmacy Association).
  • Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

  • Active involvement in professional and student pharmacy organizations.

  • Commitment to serving the community.

Award Details

  • One-time scholarship award of $1,500.

  • Funds may be used toward tuition, books, or other educational expenses.

Selection & Notification

  • Applications are reviewed by the Florida Pharmacy Foundation’s scholarship selection committee.

  • Recipients will be notified via email and announced on the Foundation’s official platforms.

  • Award is presented during a designated Foundation or Association event.

  • Complete the application form and upload all required documents, including transcripts and letters of recommendation.
  • Submit a personal statement detailing your academic journey, leadership experiences, and service contributions.
  • You may apply for as many different Scholarships as you like utilizing the online form.
