Nominate SomeoneThe Terry Gubbins Student Leadership Award was established in 2014 by Terry to recognize a student with outstanding leadership qualities. The student must have demonstrated leadership through school activities, public service and community activities, as well as professional involvement. The Terry Gubbins Award is given once a year at the Florida Pharmacy Association Annual Meeting. The winner of the award receives public recognition for his/her accomplishments, a $1,500 check and an award.
Eligibility Criteria
The student must have demonstrated leadership skills through school activities, public service and community activities, as well as professional involvement.
The student must be a current pharmacy student in Florida
The student must be a current Student Pharmacist Member of the Florida Pharmacy Association
Must be nominated by a faculty member from the College of Pharmacy
Nomination Requirements
Completed nomination form
Letter of recommendation highlighting the student’s leadership skills through school activities, public service and community activities, as well as professional involvement.
Other supporting documents (e.g., resume, transcript, proof of FPA membership or activity)
Students are nominated by a College of Pharmacy representative.
Selection Process
All nominations are reviewed by the Florida Pharmacy Foundation Awards Committee
Finalists may be contacted for additional information
Recipient is honored at the Foundation Celebration during the Florida Pharmacy Association Annual Meeting
Notification sent to both nominator and nominee via email
Award Recognition
Certificate of recognition presented at the Foundation Celebration
The recipient is recognized with a $1,500 scholarship award.
