Help us recognize a pharmacy professional who's generosity and commitment is actively shaping the future of pharmacy.
This award, established by the Florida Pharmacy Foundation Board of Trustees, honors Al Tower and Todd Schmidt for a lifetime commitment of service to the pharmacy profession.
The Philanthropy Award is given once a year at the Florida Pharmacy Association Annual Meeting where the recipient is recognized with an award and $500 to be presented to the winner’s charity/organization of choice.
Eligibility Criteria
An individual who has demonstrated outstanding commitment to philanthropy, particularly in areas that align with the foundation’s values and mission.
The nominee must be a Florida licensed pharmacist and a member of the Florida Pharmacy Association. (FPA)
Must be nominated by a licensed Florida pharmacist or FPA member.
Nomination Requirements
Nomination form completed.
Letter of recommendation highlighting the nominees involvement and commitment to philanthropy.
Other supporting documents (eg, resume, proof of FPA membership or activity).
Selection Process
All nominations are evaluated by the Florida Pharmacy Foundation Awards Committee
Finalists may be contacted for clarification or additional details
Award recipient is announced at the Foundation Celebration during the FPA Annual Meeting
Email notifications are sent to nominators and nominees
Award Recognition
$500 to be presented to the winner’s charity/organization of choice.

About this Award
The Al Tower and Todd Schmidt Award recognize a pharmacy professional and their philanthropic contributions to the Florida pharmacy profession. It also horors the memory of these two Pharmacist and the commitment and work to move forward the Florida Pharmacy Community.
