Nominate SomeoneThis award was established in 2015 by Former FPA Presidents Ed Hamilton, Betty Harris and Mark Hobbs for the purpose of advancing the profession of pharmacy on a local, state and national level. Dr. Hamilton is a Past President of the American Pharmacists Association and the APhA Foundation, Dr. Harris is a Past Speaker of the APhA House of Delegates and Mr. Hobbs served as Chair of the APhA Community and Ambulatory Section.
The award recognizes and celebrates the outstanding leadership of an APhA-ASP Student Chapter President in the state of Florida. The Hamilton, Harris & Hobbs Student Presidential Scholarship Award is given once a year at the Florida Pharmacy Association Annual Meeting where the recipient is recognized with a $2,000
scholarship award. Students are nominated by a College of Pharmacy representative.
Eligibility Criteria
Must be serving as the APhA-ASP Student Chapter President or be the Immediate Past President at a Florida Based College of Pharmacy.
Must be a current Student Pharmacist Member of the FPA (Florida Pharmacy Association).
Must be nominated by a designated representative from the College of Pharmacy.
Nomination Requirements
Completed nomination form
Letter of recommendation highlighting the student’s FPA involvement and leadership
Other supporting documents (e.g., resume, transcript, proof of FPA membership or activity)
Students are nominated by a College of Pharmacy representative.
Selection Process
Recipients are selected based on leadership qualities, service to the profession, and demonstrated impact within their chapter and community.
Notification will be provided prior to the FPA Annual Meeting.
Award Recognition
Certificate of recognition presented at the Foundation Celebration
The recipient is recognized with a $2,000 scholarship award.
