Nominate SomeoneThe John Davies Memorial Student Award honors a pharmacy student who demonstrates a deep commitment to community service, professional engagement, and academic achievement. This award is intended to recognize future leaders in pharmacy who embody compassion, service, and dedication to improving public health.
Eligibility Criteria
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Florida school or college of pharmacy
Must be a current Student Pharmacist Member of the FPA (Florida Pharmacy Association).
Must be in good academic standing
Demonstrated involvement in community service activities
Active participation in professional or student pharmacy organizations
Must be nominated by a faculty member, mentor, or pharmacist
Must be a current member of the Florida Pharmacy Board of Trustees or be a Student Advisor to the Foundation
Nomination Requirements
Completed nomination form
One letter of recommendation detailing the nominee’s service and impact
Other supporting materials such as CV/resume, list of volunteer service, or personal statement
Selection Process
All nominations are reviewed by the Foundation’s Awards Committee
Additional information may be requested from finalists
Recipient is announced during the Foundation Celebration at the Florida Pharmacy Association Annual Meeting
Notifications are sent to both nominator and nominee via email
Award Recognition
Recipient receives a formal award certificate
Recognition at the annual Foundation Celebration event
May receive a monetary award based on Foundation funding availability
Highlighted in Foundation communications and online channels
